WHO I AM
David Marshall’s combination of executive leadership, strategic planning, SaaS product and services innovation equip him to truly understand an organization’s needs for new or existing market growth and positioning.
David has successfully created, led, and sold several SaaS companies including My Rounding Solutions and Safer Healthcare, both of which were acquired by Huron Consulting Group Inc. (HURN) in 2016. The MyRounding mobile app was launched in 2013 and was conceptualized and designed by David after seeing the need of hospital nurses and administrators to document and track patient satisfaction and engagement issues at the bedside.
As an expert and leader in reliability and SaaS technology companies have looked to David’s guidance and recommendations for creating profitable returns on investment in process improvement programs, quality initiatives and systems-based SaaS and agile methodologies.
Today, David is the CEO of Beyond Campus Innovations Inc. (BCI), a portfolio company of Colorado State University System Foundation. Prior to joining BCI, David joined the Huron team as a Managing Director at the acquisition of his SaaS companies.
When he’s not working, David enjoys spending time with his family, exploring the Colorado outdoors, golfing, traveling, and giving back to the education community as well as his alma mater, William and Mary.

Luxe Golfer draws its inspiration from the culture and lifestyle of friends playing golf together looking to add entertainment value to their rounds.The first product introduced by Luxe Golfer was the book, “20 Entertaining Golf Games” written by David Marshall.
Prior to MyRounding, David founded Safer Healthcare. Safer Healthcare is a company dedicated to the creation of high reliability culture in healthcare organizations. David continues to provide strategic direction by serving on the board.

David has spent the past 20 years studying and researching the adoption of high reliability strategies across a wide range of industries including aviation, healthcare, oil and gas, first response and manufacturing. Through this research, David has pioneered and championed the use of structured communication protocols in at-risk settings. This includes the adoption of “SBAR” in clinical settings to facilitate the sharing of short and concise information between individuals in high-risk, high-stress situations. In addition, David has worked with a team of academic researchers to measure teamwork behaviors and communication patterns within clinical settings. Mr. Marshall is widely published on patient safety, quality and reliability and is an award-winning author of the best-selling book “Crew Resource Management: From Patient Safety to High Reliability.

PHILANTHROPIST
David is actively engaged with several charitable and not-for-profit organizations nationally and in the local Denver community. He currently serves on the Muscarelle Museum Foundation Board at The College of William and Mary and is dedicated to the advancement of fine art and art history in primary and secondary schools. From faith-based activities to the advancement of scientific and medical research, David has served as a volunteer and ambassador for numerous organizations that seek to expand access to information and the betterment of humanity.
SPORTSMAN
From sky diving to ground-based activities, David enjoys the outdoors and adventure. David is an avid golfer and is a member of the Golf Week Raters panel. The principal goal of the rating panel is to determine the top golf courses from each of two eras: Classic (opened before 1960) and Modern (opened 1960 or after). Results of all ratings are compiled and published annually in Golfweek and on Golfweek.com as Golfweek’s Best golf courses. In addition to golf, David enjoys tennis, fly fishing and other outdoor activities.
